I found that painting what  I wanted my chakra "space" to look like if it were an actual place, helps by giving me a safe place I want to go to during meditation. I usually used the open field concept, but this is more realistic to me. I also made a chakra figurine using some polymer clay and glass rhinestones.

S/he was made using some polymer clay that I hand molded into his/her body. The arms and legs were "snakes" of clay that I pressed on and formed into arms and legs. 3/4 of a toothpick was stuck into the top of the torso and then a head pushed on. The face I used a mold for, and then melded that to the head. The rhinestones I pressed into the clay. I baked for 25 minutes at 265 degrees. After it cooled for over an hour, I put a clay glaze on to seal the stones on.

Chakra 1 is the tree on the right, #2 is the waterfall, #3 is the fire pit, #4 is the open space of the "house" to allow air to move, #5 is the music coming out of the window, #6 is the open window at the top, and #7 is the moon.

Okay, last night I was feeling a little piqued with stress, so I dug out the chakra kit I had gotten from Mom a while back and decided to use it. It has 2 cds, some cards, and a workbook. I put CD 1 in and listened to it while going to sleep. Now, keep in mind, youngest co-sleeps with us. She is usually bouncing on the bed and all over the place. As soon as the CD started playing, she was laying down and calm. I was pleasantly shocked and very pleased.

So, we listen all the way through CD 1, both of us laying down with me following what the lady (Anodea Judith) says on the CD.

I have to PAINT!!! I have a distinctive idea of my sacred space and how my chakras would look if they were an actual place. It was very enlightening and I feel empowered right now. I dug out the meditation book I have, and plan to try to use it today if I need to.

1. I've come to realize that my hair...will always be thin and that I will always hate it.

2. I've come to realize that my legs....are not chicken legs and can kick some a**!

3. I've come to realize that my job is....my own choosing and my destiny (for now)

4. I've come to realize that when I'm driving....I need to remember that the drivers are people too

5. I've come to realize that I need...to respect myself and make more time for myself and friends

6. I've come to realize that I have lost....things that are far less important than what I have. 

7. I've come to realize that I hate it when....people always think that their view is the only one. Who's to say that their way is right for everyone?

8. I've come to realize that if I'm drunk....something is wrong because I don't like alcohol.

9. I've come to realize that money....is something to not use as freely as one would like.

10. I've come to realize that people....don't have the authority to tell me how to think, and I don't have that right either.

11. I've come to realize that I'll always be...myself, ever changing, ever learning, ever growing. 

12. I've come to realize that my significant other....is a great, unique person that I should respect more and try not to change.

13. I've come to realize that my mom....is stronger than I thought, and needs to be admired for that.

14. I've come to realize that my cell phone....is not an appendage of mine, it can be put down.

15. I've come to realize that when I woke up this morning....I was blessed to be awake and able to be with my loved ones another day.

16. I've come to realize that last night before I went to sleep....that I am a Goddess in my own right, for women are powerful and intelligent and capable of being independent of others.

17. I've come to realize that right now I am thinking about....how lucky I am to be me!

19. I've come to realize that when I get on MySpace....I rarely see anyone I know because we all lead busy lives. But each person's face is special to me. The people on CS rock too!

21. I've come to realize that tonight....I will get some studying done, and my labryinth is ready to rock and roll, without stain right now.

22. I've come to realize that tomorrow I will....teach my youngest, have lunch with my hubby and do nothing for my "me time".

23. I've come to realize that I really want to....quit trying to "fix" everything and I can't control all the time....I need to learn to let go sometimes, and say "no" sometimes too.

25. I've come to realize that life....is full of surprises, miracles, magick, and wonder.

26. I've come to realize that my friends....are special as they are. 

27. I've come to realize that this year....was chock full of realizations, surprises, and upsets. But hey, no year is perfect. We live, we learn, we move on.

Okay, being a Libra, we are supposed to have the Deity associations of Ma'at, Themis, Aphrodite, and Venus. I usually work with Bast and Diana.

Being open to new deities, I want to research Ma'at and Themis. I have found some stuff on them both, but not enough to my liking. I think I need to do a meditation on these two, both of them Goddesses of Justice and Balance. I found one for each at www.ritualmagick.org and hopefully will be able to do one tonight.

Does anyone have experience with either of these two?

I love it!!! Being a Libra, in the zodiac sign of Libra right now....this time of year!! I am feeling pumped with all kinds of energies....might need to ground if it gets worse, lol!

Feeling others' energies as well; youngest is going around kissing a pic of my Grandpa who she has never "met" and has been passed on for 15 years now. The older is feeling like "someone" is watching her at night. We live in my other grandparents' house and she sleeps in her old room. I am having troubles with my Mom and Grandma's energies intersecting with mine....driving me batty!

I don't know how to shield, I feel vulnerable, and I live between the two of them so I am in the midst of their energies.
